I am a recent graduate in the field of music education with a vocal 
specialty.  I was diagnosed with TMJ in 1993 and due to poor medical 
advise and treatment, I am still under treatment (with better doctors 
thankfully).  

I see TMJ references made to instrumentalists on a regular basis.  
However, I rarely see information regarding classical singing and TMJ.  
One of the best articles I have ever read was in the NATS Journal 
(National Association of Teachers of Singing).  Although I am sure there 
are other excellent articles available.

Please let it be known, singers are at a great risk as well.  I have 
been unable to sing at all for almost a year now.  It's tough, but I'd 
rather be treated now and sing again, then become so bad that I'll be in 
pain for the rest of my life!
